The key to volunteering is getting involved - even if it is clearing up the kit, helping on desk, helping with galas, doing the administration or getting involved with committees. Most volunteers become involved because their own children are members of the local club. Clubs cannot function without volunteers and parents recognise the need to 'give' something back to the sport which is so good for their children. Like most things in life, you get back what you put in. Many of our volunteers have enjoyed the sense of belonging which volunteering creates. Indeed, the family atmosphere at our clubs is what makes our sport so special. If everyone left it to someone else to volunteer, we would have no clubs, so why not get involved and volunteer to support your children's club? Whatever time you can spare could make all the difference to the club, so don't worry about being expected to do too much. You can get involved with your local club by asking what you can do to help. Contact details for your local club are on the profiles section of the home page.
